Back in the 1980’s Nelvana Limited (The studio best known for animating The Magic School Bus, Care Bears, Eeek the Cat, and several Star Wars cartoons) was planing to do an animated series based on Doctor Who. For some unknown reason the series was never produced and only concept art for the series was made.
Some of these designs look okay, but some of the others look kind of silly. Who came up with the idea to give the Doctor blue hair and a coat with a giant question mark on it? Oh wait a minute it was designer Ted Bastien, more of his designs for this unmade series can be found on the TARDIS index file wiki.
So tell me, what do you folks think of Ted Bastien’s designs and if this series was made would you watch it?
